Live, Love and Laugh Foundation would like to thank all those who attended and supported our first annual fundraising event A Night The Stars Shine On. The event was held on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at Remi Restaurant. Jedd D. Wolchok, MD, PhD; Associate Director of the Ludwig Center for Cancer Immunotherapy at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center was honored with the 2006 Humanitarian Award.

We had a great time and more than 400 guests enjoyed food from Cowgirl Restaurant, Grandaisy Bakery, Grappolo Locanda, Remi and Victor's Café. Spirits were provided by Brooklyn Brewery, Dewar's, Tequila Corazon, Stag's Leap Wine Cellar, Xellent Vodka and Zipang Sake.

All monies raised will support Live, Love and Laugh Foundation's mission to find a cure for metastatic melanoma through funding scientific research as well as providing patients and families with an emotional and educational support network.

Thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers who made this event possible. Please click here to view the pictures of A Night The Stars Shine On.

Curve Live, Love and Laugh Foundation Opens the NASDAQ

Live, Love and Laugh Foundation had the honor of opening the NASDAQ on September 6, 2006 and we are happy to announce that it went off without a hitch and the market did well that day - no doubt because of Founder, Mindy Gorman's, bell ringing skills! It was a very exciting and emotional day as Mindy was surrounded by close family and friends of the Foundation, including her and her late husband Stuart's first grandchild.

Mindy gave a powerful speech before ringing the bell and was broadcast out over Times Square. All who were in attendance and who saw the event on television were deeply moved by her insightful words that focused on the importance of funding metastatic melanoma research, as well as getting involved in the great community of Live, Love and Laugh Foundation.

It has been a long road for the Gorman family from the day Stuart was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma to the day the family stood together at the NASDAQ in honor of Stuart, representing a Foundation created in his memory. One could not help but feel overwhelmed with a sense that everything happens for a reason and that Stuart was with us all, ringing that bell for a brief moment that beautiful September day, continuing to live, love and laugh from above.
